Welcome to the official Bennett Racing website, as it says we are the Bennett family drag racing team and we have been drag racing for 27 years.

We got our first car in 1981, a 1958 Ford Popular, formerly called Mean Streak, we raced it under the name Phantasm for many successful years. We then bought the Relentless Fiat Topolino fuel altered in 1987, originally an NHRA TAFC championship winner called Boston Strangler driven by Arnie Karp.

The body is a 1932 Fiat Topolino replica running on a full 125 inch chrome-moly chassis, see the Fuel altered anatomy pages for details. The engine is a Donovan block based on a big block Chevy with Morgan billet heads and a Kobelco Hi-helix 14-71 supercharger.

Bennett Racing build there own engines, everything from a 11,000rpm small block Chevy screamer to the current 2500+ horsepower 511 cubic inch big block. If you need an engine built get in touch, we rebuild and maintain our Lenco gearbox and clutch and offer our knowledge if needed.

We can also rebuild and repair superchargers and we can make and alter parts on our lathes and mill and be sure to check our huge parts for sale list. We sell Bennett Racing merchandise, including t-shirts, key rings, mousemats, fridge magnets, clocks, pens and souvenir parts too.

Also on our site are pages about Charlie ‘Wag’ Bennett who won the Brooklands’ one-hour TT race on 16th March 1910.
